About MugShare™

The Oconee County Sheriff's Office, located in Watkinsville Georgia, is the headquarters and agency coordinator for MugShare™.

MugShare™ is an extension of the JAGS™ booking, jail management and investigative software developed in-house and designed to run via an Intranet, Extranet or the Internet.

As we progress with the system we will be adding our complete booking database, archived since 1997, to the site.

At the same time you too can be adding mugshots of your own or sharing mugshots, photos or BOLO's or Bulletins between agencies.

All you need to do is go to the MugShare™ Bulletins page and click on the Bulletin Board banner and register. After you register, if you are a law enforcement officer, you can request access to the Members Area.

MugShare™ Access Information

Due to requests I have had to just "see how it works", I have placed a Guest access option on the homepage. You can view sample mugshots in the database and perform searches on the data.

Feel free to check back as often as you like and test the access speed from various Internet connections and compatibility with various browsers available to you.

There is no charge for Membership status on MugShare™.

Access to the MugShare™ Online Database "Members Area" is restricted to law enforcement agencies and their active duty officers.

General Design Information

The database and website is designed as a 24 hour a day working law enforcement tool.

The objective is to take the hassle out of sharing mugshots and digital data between agencies and centralizing the distribution of BOLO descriptions.

Before MugShare™ there was no centralized database anywhere that you could access for instant information sharing between agencies.

Now you can!

No matter where you are, in the office, in your car, on a boat, on a plane, or at a crime scene, anywhere you have Internet access, you can have access to digital data from any agency anywhere in the world, instantly.

Once you begin using MugShare™ you will be surprised how easy it is to add, locate or share information..
